leadership!
To Nora:
Why do I feel like this is late? Maybe because it is! Anyway:
What qualities make a great leader? In my opinion, Joan of Arc was a good leader. She was born in Domremy, France. There, she received no education, and only knew how to cook and sew. She could not fight using a sword or ride a horse, neither could she read or write. However, she had much faith in God. One day, she had a 'vision' of the saints telling her to save France from the English invaders. After much persuasion, she convinced the French authorities to allow her to lead an army. Her request was granted and she lead a successful army. Later, she was caught and burned to death by the English. And much later, she was declared a saint. I bet everyone knows the story, but nevermind!
Joan of Arc was faithful, loyal, inspiring and (somewhat) gentle. She would not draw a sword unless it's out of self-defense. In fact, she even tried to prevent killing to their victory. I would really like that trait for my birthday (I guess I can sort of... develop it?). It is not easy to maintain such tolerance without killing someone.
